Kona update 7/13/09

Velvet and I returned to the island 6/25/09. There was some dry weather while we were back in CA but everything’s looking nice and green. Getting adequate rain with the house water tanks topped off. Evenings are cool enough I’m forced to wear a tee shirt just to keep warm. Burr. Temps are, gulp, 115 this week in the desert.

We were treated to a welcome back picnic at nearby Puuhonuaohonaunau beach. Try to say that 50 times. Great to get with our island geezer pals again.

So far we’ve only been to the beach twice this visit. There’s always a lot to do at the house and we really like fiddling around in the yard/garden.

We’ve got friends from the mainland coming to visit later in the summer. Be sure to get on the list.
